Experience the power of music, drama and dance as sam-uQuah’s exhilarating pop opera “A Touch Of Magic” comes alive on stage bringing you the intrigues of local African politics, the twists and turns of village romance, and the exciting and colourful expressions of Nigerian culture.

- A village boy returns home from studies abroad
- The king’s daughter has waited 7 years for him
- Her father the king has big political plans for him
- The chief councilor of the kingdom has even bigger plans of a different kind for him


- Meanwhile, his return has stirred up a hurricane amongst the youths of the village…..

sam-uQuah’s “A Touch Of Magic” is a captivating and jaw dropping stage musical blazing the trail of long-running stage productions in Nigeria. Set in pre-independence Eastern Nigeria, it holds you spellbound every weekend throughout the year, spins you around, and leaves you breathlessly wondering what just happened… You must see it!

About The Composer/Director

Sam Uquah Jr. studied music at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and his work experience spans live performances, studio recording, album production, advertising, and stage production as well as educational, orchestral, and T.V. work. He is the founder of Villa JazzMatazz, a performing arts centre in Surulere, Lagos.
